As an advocate of women’s health and reproductive wellness, Zahava has focused her studies in treating fertility, pregnancy, menopause, PCOS, endometriosis, migraines, thyroid disorders, depression, and anxiety for women. Zahava is also a certified lactation counselor through the Healthy Children Project to help her patients navigate the world of breastfeeding.
Zahava is a Doctor of Acupuncture certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. She received her Masters of Science in Acupuncture and her doctorate from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine. Zahava has trained extensively in Balance Method, a style of acupuncture known for its quick and effective techniques in treating chronic musculoskeletal pain.
Her goal is to support, educate, and empower women throughout all of their life stages.

Gina worked in the field of Traditional Chinese Medicine for nearly a decade prior to joining Chicago Family Acupuncture. In addition to her experience in the field, Gina brings her passion for helping patients feel better throughout their wellness journey. You can count on her easygoing, compassionate demeanor to provide both a calming and healing energy to your care.
Gina received her undergraduate degree in Community Health from Northeastern Illinois University and a master’s degree in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine from Midwest College of Oriental Medicine. While at Midwest, she interned at the very busy Stroger’s Hospital and treated a diverse group of patients as part of ongoing scientific research at the facility. Gina also studied the Mei Zen cosmetic acupuncture protocol. She plans to further study sports medicine acupuncture by receiving specialized training in orthopedic and sports injuries. Lastly, Gina’s time at Midwest allowed her to understand the herbal and nutrition aspects of Chinese medicine, seeing conditions labeled “chronic” or “permanent” by conventional medicine reverse completely after treating underlying nutrient deficiencies and imbalances.
Gina loves the healing arts and believes acupuncture and holistic healthcare should be accessible to everyone. It is important to her that every patient feels they can count on Gina as both a non-judgmental confidant and advocate for their “best self” throughout their wellness journey. In her spare time, she loves dogs and traveling. If Gina is not treating patients, you can find her volunteering at animal shelters or on the beach!
