Chicago Family Acupuncture was created by Zahava: acupuncturist, mother, tea lover, lactation counselor, pop culture enthusiast, and passionate wellness educator.
As an advocate of women’s health and reproductive wellness, Zahava has focused her studies in treating fertility, pregnancy, menopause, PCOS, endometriosis, migraines, thyroid disorders, depression, and anxiety for women. Zahava is also a certified lactation counselor through the Healthy Children Project to help her patients navigate the world of breastfeeding.
Zahava is a Doctor of Acupuncture certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. She received her Masters of Science in Acupuncture and her doctorate from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine. Zahava has trained extensively in Balance Method, a style of acupuncture known for its quick and effective techniques in treating chronic musculoskeletal pain.
Her goal is to support, educate, and empower women throughout all of their life stages.

Robyn Cepek, Acupuncturist
As a licensed acupuncturist in Illinois with a national certification from the National Certification of Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine, Robyn is committed to helping her patients navigate their health journey and find relief and balance.
She specializes in psycho-emotional issues and offers trauma-informed care to help those dealing with difficult mental and physical symptoms of diseases like depression, anxiety, PTSD, stress, digestion, sleep issues, and pain. She is very passionate about offering care for chronic pain and autoimmune issues as well. Her treatments focus on helping to regulate the nervous system, calm the mind, and bring relief and healing. As a mother of a young daughter, she also understands that supporting women through transitionary times is crucial.
When Robyn is not working with patients or hanging out with her daughter and husband, she loves to make candles, write music and sing with her folk-rock band, and spend time in nature.
Catherine Zwergel, Acupuncturist
Catherine brings an authentic and compassionate presence to all of her healing work. She loves to collaborate and empower her patients to overcome any health and wellness challenge. Cat’s warmth and kindness radiate through all of her acupuncture treatments and her patients feel so grateful to be in her care.
Catherine is board certified by the National Certification Commision of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. She graduated from Midwest College of Oriental Medicine in Chicago, holds a master's degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine and a bachelor’s degree in Nutrition.
In addition to acupuncture, she also incorporates essential oils through Aroma Point Therapy (APT), as well as the TCM modalities of cupping, gua sha, electro-stimulation and moxibustion. She studies Zero Balancing, a bodywork modality, as well as Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction and other forms of meditation.
Catherine’s interests include metalsmithing and jewelry making, studying and selling crystals and stones, indoor and outdoor gardening, travel, yoga practice, camping and spending quality time with her friends, family, husband and cat, Violet.
Chelsea Werner, Office Manager
Chelsea graduated from Illinois State University majoring in early childhood education. For the past six years she has been teaching elementary students for Chicago Public Schools. She has a passion for working and helping others to become the best version of themselves.
In December of 2020 Chelsea became a first time mom to Jaxon and it is her favorite job yet! We can guarantee that you will always be greeted with a warm smile and friendly face when you come into the office. Chelsea's other passions are dancing, reading, and pilates.
